By a 5-2 vote, the Beaumont city council has voted to reopen city venues. This includes the
Event Centre, Jefferson Theater, Julie Rogers Theater, and the Civic Center. The no votes
came from council members Audwin Samuel and Robin Mouton. The venues will
reopen on October 1st.
