A murder suspect remains jailed. 45-year old Murray Melvin Odom III, of Beaumont, turned
himself in Saturday afternoon. He is wanted for Thursday’s shooting death of 56-year old Melvin
Savoy, whose body was found in a field in the 1600 block of Leight Street in north Beaumont.
