The city of Beaumont will close the Linbergh Bridge December 7th-21st. The closure is needed
so the Streets and Drainage Department can remove drainage grates that run along the width of
the bridge on the south side. The grates are deteriorating and need to be removed and replaced
by inlets outside the main roadway in order to ensure the best possible safety for citizens
traveling over the bridge.
