Gas prices have increased over the past week. In the Beaumont/Port Arthur area the average
price for a gallon is $1.98, whichis up four cents. The statewide average is $1.94, which is up
a penny. Triple A Texas also reports the national average for a gallon of gas is up five cents to
$2.30.
