The Port Neches Police Department assisted the Texas Attorney General’s Office in the
execution of a search warrant at the home Port Neches Fire Chief Paul Nelson. Chief Nelson
was arrested and charged with two counts of promotion of child pornography. He was
transported to the Jefferson County Jail. The investigation is being headed up by the Texas
Attorney General’s Office Child Exploitation Unit.
