Stephen J Cox, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas, has resigned effective Noon
yesterday. He had served as the district’s U.S. Attorney since May of last year and had been
with the Department of Justice since 2017. Nicholas Ganjei will service as acting U.S. Attorney
until a replacement is appointed.
