By a 5-2 vote, the BISD board voted against renaming BISD Memorial Stadium after former
Superintendent Dr. Carrol Thomas. Thomas’ name was removed from the stadium on I-10 in
2018. Board members Zenobia Bush and Kevin Reece voted in favor of renaming the stadium.
The issue could move to a citizens vote in May.
