The filing deadline for the May elections is approaching. On May 1st, mayor, city council, and
school board seats are on the ballot. At last check, in Beaumont, five candidates had filed for
mayor.. Current Mayor Becky Ames is not seeking an 8th term. The filing deadline is this
coming Friday, February 12th
