(Lubbock, TX) -- Texas' coronavirus mandates are ending next week. Governor Greg Abbott says businesses can re-open at 100-percent capacity and the statewide mandate will end next Wednesday. The governor encouraged people to still follow call CDC prevention suggestions regarding the virus and reminded people that businesses can enact their own restrictions and requirements. Abbott says county judges can enact their own COVID restrictions, if certain hospital levels are met, but no one can be jailed. He cites state coronavirus vaccine numbers along with the availability of virus testing, treatment, and Personal Protective Equipment availability.
