The DPS reports a 29-year old man from Orange was killed this morning in a two vehicle
wreck Christopher Cooksey was driving south on FM 408 between Bridge City and
Orangefield when he crossed into the northbound lane on a curve and struck an oncoming
dump truck. Cooksey was pronounced dead at the scene. A child passenger, who was properly
secured in a car seat, did not have any visible injuries. The driver of the dump truck was not
hurt.
