Gas prices continue to move up. The average price for a gallon in the Beaumont/Port Arthur
area this morning is $2.61, which is up eight cents. The statewide average increased six cents
over the past week to $2.64 a gallon. Triple A Texas reports the national average for a gallon
of gas is up five cents to $2.88.
