Chambers County officials say one man is dead and another critically injured after an industrial
accident near Mont Belvieu over the weekend. The accident was reported a few minutes after
midnight on Sunday morning. Two linemen were working on a high-voltage transmission line
from inside a metal lift basket attached to a crane when the basket came loose and fell more than
100-feet to the ground. One man was dead at the scene. The other was airlifted to Memorial
Herman Hospital in Houston in critical condition.
