An arrest warrant has been issued on Monday’s second suspect in the attempted theft of an
ATM at the Sabine State Bank in Burkeville. The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is looking
for 40-year old Leo Burt Mitchell. He may be in Natchitoches or Florin, Louisiana. Anyone
with any information is asked to contact the Newton County Sheriff’s Office. On the day of
the attempted theft, 38-year old Billy Dewayne Adams was arrested and jailed in Newton
County.
