A woman from Orange is recovering after being shot by a Vinton police officer yesterday
morning. Vinton police responded to a report of an argument between two motorists on
I-10, near the Highway 108 entrance ramp. When police arrived, 54-year old Annette Odegar
is accused of pointing a gun at an officer. The officer shot Odegar. She was transported to
a local hospital. Louisiana State Police is heading up the investigation.
