A Beaumont man has been sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison for firearm
violations. 25-year old Derionte Thomas took part in the robbery of a woman at Parkdale
Mall in Beaumont this past September. Thomas, a convicted felon, was in possession of a
firearm. Thomas, who pleaded guilty in February, was sentenced to 100 months yesterday.
