(San Antonio, TX) -- Constitutional carry is coming to Texas this fall. Governor Greg Abbott signed the bill allowing handguns to be carried without a permit today at the Alamo in San Antonio. Abbott says people have the right to defend themselves from danger. The governor promised he spoke with families of those wounded in last weekend's mass shooting in downtown Austin saying they didn't want gun rights eliminated because of crimes committed by teens. Businesses are still allowed to ban guns. Opponents of the law believe it will lead to more violence. Constitutional carry goes into effect September 1st.
