Two family members drowned off Gilchrist on the Bolivar Peninsula Saturday.16-year old
Salem Joy was struggling in a rip current and his 32-year old stepfather, Brian Tell, rushed into
the water to try and rescue him. Neither were able to make it out of the water and drowned.
