Gas prices in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area are up two cents from last week. Triple A Texas
is reporting the average price is $2.84 a gallon. Last year on August 6th, we were paying $1.84
a gallon. The average price across the state of Texas is $2.84, which is up a penny. The national
average is up two cents to $3.18 a gallon.
