A man is jailed following a low speed chase from mid-county to Beaumont. The pursuit ended
when Jefferson County deputies used a spike strip to stop the car in the 1200 block of Cardinal
Drive. The driver fled on foot and fell over the Florida Street overpass. He was taken into
custody by Beaumont police and was turned over to the custody of Groves police.
