Beaumont police report a construction worker died after he was struck by a vehicle this morning
on Eastex Freeway southbound near Tram Road. A multi-vehicle crash occurred in an active
construction zone and vehicles struck two road construction workers. Both were transported to
the hospital, where one died from his injuries.
