Alex Rupp, manager of the Jack Brooks Regional Airport has announced he will run for
Jefferson County commissioner in Precinct Two. The seat is currently held by former Nederland
Chief of Police Darrell Bush, who is filling out the unexpired term of Brent Weaver who retired
earlier this year. Rupp, who has managed the airport for the past eight years, will run as a
republican in the March primary.
