The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man for murder. 32-year old Jaquin
Garcia is charged with the April stabbing death of Norlan Moreno. The stabbing occurred in
the front yard of a home in the 2900 block of Charles in Beaumont.
A Port Arthur man has been indicted for murder and aggravated assault. 22-year old Deon
Patrick Williams is accused of shooting two men in the parking lot of the Speedy Stop on
Gulfway Drive on August 16th. One of the victims, Derrick Petrie died four days later. The
second gunshot victim is expected to recover.
