Longtime Southeast Texas Attorney Walter Umphrey has died. Umphrey donated millions
of dollars to Lamar University, Baylor University, and numerous charities across Southeast
Texas for more than 50 years. Services for Walter Umphrey are pending with Clayton-
Thompson Funeral Home.
