Union workers, locked of the Beaumont ExxonMobil refinery since May 1st, will remain
locked out following yesterday’s vote. More than 50% of the union voters rejected the latest
offer. 650 union workers were locked out when their contract expired on April 30th. That number
has dropped as some union workers found work elsewhere. Around 100 members did not take
part in yesterday’s vote. 50% needed to vote in favor of this offer.
