A Jefferson County jury has convicted a Port Arthur man for murder. 33-year old Joshua
Henderson was found guilty for the November 2018 shooting death of 49-year old Floyd
Dergent at the Prince Hall Apartments in Port Arthur. Henderson chose the court to set his
sentence. After hearing punishment testimony, 252nd Criminal District Judge Raquel West
sentenced Henderson to life in prison.
