The DPS reports two people were killed in a wreck on I-10 in Jefferson County near Boyt Road
yesterday morning. The driver of a westbound vehicle struck the barrier in the median then
traveled into the eastbound lanes hitting an oncoming vehicle head-on. Both drivers were
pronounced dead at the scene. The fatalities forced the interstate to be shut down for several
hours.
