Checking Friday gas prices shows that we are paying less this week than we were a week ago.
Triple A Texas is reporting the average price in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area is $2.97 a gallon,
which is down three cents. A year ago we were paying $1.83. The statewide average is down
three cents to $2.96 a gallon. The national average dropped two cents to $3.37 a gallon.
