Checking Friday gas prices show no change in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area over the past
week. The average price stayed at $2.90 a gallon. A year ago we were paying $1.97. The
statewide average is $2.90 a gallon, which is the lowest in the country. Californians are paying
the most at the pump with an average price of $4.65 a gallon. The national average os $3.30.
