No serious injuries were reported when a Beaumont Police Department pickup truck was
struck from behind last night. It happened on South 11th Street near Hollywood Street. Two
officers in the patrol unit were treated for minor injuries. Alcohol may have been a factor with
the driver that struck the police unit. That driver suffered minor injuries. The investigation into
the wreck continues.
