Groves police have arrested a woman on a charge of animal cruelty. 42-year old Michelle Marie
Braford was arrested Thursday morning. A five month old puppy was left in a cage without
water at a home on Taft Avenue in Groves in July. The puppy died from heat exhaustion. The
heat index that day exceeded 100 degrees. Bradford’s bond was set at $20,000 under the
condition she wears a GPS ankle monitor.
