Gas prices are down two cents in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area from last week. This morning’s
average is $3.19 a gallon. A year ago on the final day of September we were paying $2.81 a
gallon. The statewide average is down three cents to $3.11 a gallon. Hurricane Ian may be
impacting the national average as it is up 11 cents to $3.79 a gallon. These averages are from
