The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man for intoxication manslaughter.
38-year old Michael David Miller is charged with the July death of 71-year old James Lee. Lee
was on his riding mower on Burrell-Wingate Road in Jefferson County when he was struck and
killed by a vehicle driven by Miller. Miller was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control
on a curve.
