Gas prices are down. The average price in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area this morning is $3.24
a gallon, which is down six cents from last week. A year ago we were paying $2.99 a gallon. The
statewide average for a gallon of gas is down seven cents from last week to $3.24. The national
average dropped eight cents to $3.82 a gallon. These averages are from Triple A Texas.
