A Houston man has pleaded guilty to using a drone to drop contraband into the federal prison
complex, located in Beaumont. 44-year old Davien Phillip Turner was arrested this past May
after law enforcement officers found Turner outside the grounds of the prison operating a
drone dropping bags containing tobacco, cellphones, vapes, and other items into the prison.
He faces up to three years in federal prison and will be sentenced at a later date.
