A Bridge City man has been sentenced to more than 16 years in federal prison on drug and
firearm charges. 32-year old Rian Blayke Savoy was involved in a high speed chase in Orange
and Newton counties this past January. Savoy threw baggies of methamphetamine and a firearm
out of the vehicle during the pursuit. He pleaded guilty to the charges in June and was sentenced
to 197 months yesterday by U.S. Court District Judge Marcia A Crone.
