Gas prices continue to drop. This morning’s average price in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area is
down 10 cents from last week to $2.61a gallon. The statewide average dropped 11 cents to $2.64
a gallon, which is the lowest average in the nation. The national average for a gallon of gas this
morning is $3.17, down 14 cents. These averages are compiled daily by Triple A Texas.
