A Jefferson County jury has convicted a Beaumont man for murder. 36-year old Zachary Kapel
was found guilty yesterday for the April 2021 shooting death of 41-year old Shane Russell Jones,
a homicide that occurred on Stonetown Road in north Beaumont. The punishment phase resumes
this morning.
