Not much change in the price of a gallon of gas over the past week. Triple A Texas reports $2.92
as the average price in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area, which is down two cents from last week.
A year ago on this date $3,31 a gallon. The statewide average stayed at $2.95 a gallon. Texas
continues to have the lowest average in the nation. The national average for a gallon of gas is
up a penny to $3.39.
