A man that used a drone to drop contraband into the Beaumont Federal Prison Complex has been
sentenced to eight months in federal prison. Davien Phillip Turner, of Houston, was arrested in
May of last year when he was found in the area of the drone. Items such as tobacco, cell phones,
and vapes were being dropped into the prison complex. Turner pleaded guilty to the charges in
November and was sentenced yesterday.
