A woman is jailed following a Monday afternoon stabbing in Newton. A 14-year old girl and a 45-
year old woman were stabbed at a home in the 500 block of Washington Street. Both victims are
from Jasper. The suspect was transported to the Newton County Jail. The stab wounds are non-
life threatening.
