A continuous sexual assault on a child trial in Jefferson County has ended in a mistrial. The jury could
not reach a verdict in the trial of 41-year old Michael Lawrence Poussan. Deliberations began on
Friday and ended late Tuesday afternoon with the hung jury. It is not known at this time if the
Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office will retry the case.
