A graduation party for a Nederland High School student turned violent Wednesday night in Chambers
County. Up to 300 students attended the party at Mid America Contractors warehouse on I-10 in
Winnie when several gunshots were fired towards the crowd. One 18-year old was airlifted to a
Beaumont hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. At least 30 rounds were fired. Detectives are
searching for the gunmen. Charges are also expected to be filed against the adults who allowed the party
to take place.
