It is Friday and time to take a look at what we are paying at the gas pump. Triple A Texas reports the
average price in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area is down a penny from last week to $3.08 a gallon. Last
year on July 7th we were paying $4.38 a gallon. The statewide average is down three cents to $3.17 a
gallon. The national average dropped one cent to $3.54 a gallon.
