Port Arthur police report a man is in the Jefferson County Correctional facility charged with intoxication
assault. He was driving a vehicle that struck a pedestrian early Sunday morning in the 500 block of H.O.
Mills. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle stopped at
the scene.
