The DPS reports two teens, aged 17 & 18, died in a wreck Saturday night near High Island. They were
traveling on FM 1985 when the driver struck a tractor that was pulling a piece of equipment forcing the
tractor off a bridge. The car caught fire. The teens were pronounced dead at the scene. A third teen was
able to get out of the car. All three attended Anahuac High School. The driver of the tractor was
transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. The teens were returning from the beach.
