(DeRidder, LA) -- Louisiana state and local officials are looking for the arsonist responsible for the Tiger Island wildfire. The blaze has consumed more than 31-thousand wooded acres since it started on August 22nd just east of Merryville. The state Department of Agriculture and Forestry has investigated the fire along with the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office. They have determined the fire resulted from an act of arson. The Louisiana Forestry Association is offering a reward of up to two-thousand-dollars for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
