A Beaumont man convicted of attempting to shoot two Beaumont police officers has been sentence to
25 years in prison. In July of last year, 20-year old Reginald Guillory pointed a gun at the officers and
pulled the trigger. The gun malfunctioned and did not discharge. Guillory was convicted and sentenced
yesterday. A second defendant, 19-year old Jaylon Nixon is awaiting trial.
