A ride operator at the Groves Pecan Festival dangled 30 feet in the air from a ride yesterday afternoon
helping a child on the ride. A gust of wind caused the ride to take off with the child inside. The worker
hung onto to the ride until workers were able to bring the ride car down. The ride was shutdown
following the incident. There were no injuries.
