As we head into the holiday weekend gas prices are up from a week ago. The average price in the
Beaumont/Port Arthur area is $2.61 a gallon, which is up eight cents from last Friday. The statewide
average is up 14 cents per gallon to $2.69. Triple A Texas is also reporting the national average is
up four cents to $3.12 per gallon.
