(Austin, TX) -- Liquor stores across Texas are closed in accordance with a decades-old state alcohol law. Thanks to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code liquor stores closed Saturday night at 9 p.m. and won't open until 10 a.m. Tuesday. The code mandates that stores close on Sundays and holidays including New Year's Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.
